SOUTH DOWNS TREK: Sunday 17th August 2014

Information

The South Downs Trek is the exhilarating one day marathon walk offering 26.2miles of stunning views and beautiful countryside starting from Lewes and finishing in the seaside town of Eastbourne.  Our team of experienced walkers will encourage and guide you along the way and our support crew will be available at Alfriston to refill your bottles and provide free tea, coffee and light refreshments.  Rail fare to and from Eastbourne will be included in the £20 entry fee and all walkers will be awarded with a commemorative medal and technical t-shirt.

Training

Join our free, friendly and fun training programme designed to give you the fitness and stamina you will need to achieve your goal.  Training walks are taking place on Sunday 5th January, 2nd February, 9thMarch at 9.00 from the YMCA.  Click here for your interactive map of both distances and here for full information of the day including itinerary and kit list.

Fundraising

This year, we are asking participants in the South Downs Trek to pay a registration fee of £20 to secure the place, plus pledge to raise the minimum sponsorship of £50, to help sustain on our charitable work across East Surrey, and we will do everything we can to help you reach this target.

You will be provided with a full fundraising pack to get you started, as well as our expert advice and guidance.
